ToF sensor has been widely used in somatosensory recognition, gesture recognition, environment modeling, etc. It calculates the distance of the measured object from the camera by detecting the flight (round-trip) time of the light pulse.
ToF sensor change the measurement distance of the camera by adjusting the frequency of the transmitted pulse; ToF sensor is different from the depth camera based on the principle of feature matching, its measurement accuracy will not decrease with the increase of the measurement distance, and its measurement error is basically within the entire measurement range. The above is fixed; the ToF sensor has strong anti-interference ability. Therefore, in the occasions where the measurement distance is relatively far (such as unmanned driving), the ToF sensor has very obvious advantages.
